Lead age-appropriate activities in Kodaly-based vocal instruction, choreography and dance, popular music, recorders, music composition, recording techniques, and world-music drumming. Coordinate concert programming with Orchestra and Band teachers. Reach out to community though district, affiliate resources, and grants to fund events and music department purchases.

Provide leadership through daily music activities, student and staff events, committee membership, and positive modeling to create a positive climate for high-achievement and growth.

Function as school and district expert on Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Response to Interventions (RtI), web technologies, Moodle online learning, Power School, AIMSweb, and data analysis and reporting for school improvement planning. Serve as district Webmaster (year-round) and Substitute Principal (as needed).

K-8 Choral-General Music

Provided musical leadership for 800+ students in Kodaly-based vocal music, orff improvisation, and drama activities. Acted as Site Manager for the Chicago Children’s Choir neighborhood choir program. Managed all enrichment scheduling (music, art, library, computers, physical education). Served as Yearbook advisor.
