About School WebsitesSchool websites are a mix of three informational components: LEADERSHIP INFORMATION: (10%) Broad, school community relevant information that appears on homepages, and key index pages. This information is updated regularly and speaks for the school administration in the form of school newsletters, calendars of events, school improvement materials, handbooks, guides, curriculum charts, and other organizational materials. My services are targeted to helping your team keep leadership information up-to-date. STUDENT INFORMATION: (30%) Many schools have web-based student information system components that allow teachers, students, and parents view assignments, grades, and attendance information. TEACHER-CREATED/STUDENT-CREATED MATERIALS: (60%) Many schools have content management systems (CMS) that allow teachers and/or students to publish class web pages, blogs, and student work. These materials frequently make up the majority of the pages on your school website. About Nathan
In 2006, I completed my Master's degree in Educational Administration where I focused on organizational development and communications planning. I have 7+ years experience teaching and leading school improvement activities. I currently balance my time teaching K-5 Elementary Choral Music, providing educational leadership as an Substitute Principal, and running my growing school website consulting business. I hope to move full-time into consulting work in the coming years.
