The Process

CONSULTATION: We talk on the phone so that I can learn more about the people, programs, and processes that make your school uniquee.

STRATEGY: I'll create a strategy plan outlining the components of the site to be updated each month and a timeline for development.

CONTRACT AND DEVELOPMENT: We agree on an annual plan, sign the contract, and work begins as soon as I recieve payment for services. We may renegotate the implementation of the plan throughout the year as needs change.

MEASURABLE: I install a website analytics package to measure traffic to your school website. These daily, weekly, and monthly measures help us to work together to better target information and services to your community.

CANCELLATION: If you decide to cancel less than six months into the contract, 50% of your payment will be refunded. There are no refunds after six months of service.

About School Websites

School websites are a mix of three informational components:

LEADERSHIP INFORMATION: (10%) Broad, school community relevant information that appears on homepages, and key index pages. This information is updated regularly and speaks for the school administration in the form of school newsletters, calendars of events, school improvement materials, handbooks, guides, curriculum charts, and other organizational materials.

My services are targeted to helping your team keep leadership information up-to-date.

STUDENT INFORMATION: (30%) Many schools have web-based student information system components that allow teachers, students, and parents view assignments, grades, and attendance information.

TEACHER-CREATED/STUDENT-CREATED MATERIALS: (60%) Many schools have content management systems (CMS) that allow teachers and/or students to publish class web pages, blogs, and student work. These materials frequently make up the majority of the pages on your school website.
